ZELENOGRAD

In the Russian language there is a saying which runs: "It is not the place that decorates the person, it is the person that decorates the place". The Academy surely is a pearl in the industrial shell of the Zelenograd city but the city itself deserves a separate word.

Zelenograd is an administrative district of Moscow which enjoys the rights and opportunities of a capital and pure environment and tranquility of a province. Zelenograd is the furthest administrative district, 40 km away from Moscow easily overcome by country train (35 min.) and other types of community transport (several bus routes following to four metro stations: m. Rechnoy Vokzal, m. Tushinskaya, m. Skhodnenskaya, m. Mitino).

Another name for the city is - Silicon Valley, because the city gained prominence in microelectronics and is now the leading center for development of nanothechnologies.

The population amounts to 208000 people. Students will never be bored here. There are excellent facilities for sport, cultural leisure and entertainment.

Zelenograd is the place where internationally renowned competitions take place. For instance football matches, marathon races etc. the district has twin-cities in Germany and the USA.

Least but not last, Zelenograd for many successive years has been found the safest district of Moscow according to the police reports.
